Position: Performance Reporting
Project Manager

Job Overview: This position will involve project management and
business analysis activities as part of the Performance Reporting
Strategy team within the Strategic Solutions Group (SSG). Overall,
the team has responsibility for the Performance Reporting platforms
used by Wachovia Securities and First Clearing to communicate
with clients on an ongoing basis. Specific elements of the platform
include hardcopy and electronic output, broker customization and
performance review interfaces, SmartStation and Internet interfaces
and provision of data to other applications, including Portfolio
Insight and Broker Reporting.
- Partner with IT, Business Services Group (BSG), Compliance
and other areas of Financial Services Group (FSG) to ensure
that our Financial Advisors and their clients have the best
Performance Reporting solution in the industry, and that these
solutions are integrated into the overall client and FA platforms.
- Ensure system stability, scalability and appropriate prioritization
of production development items.
- Responsible for business analysis and project management in
support of large, medium and small development efforts ranging
from major enhancements or platform changes to incremental changes
in response to client or field feedback.
- Utilize internal and external resources as needed to successfully
implement projects having firm wide impact.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Four year college degree and at least 7 years relevant experience
in financial services, preferably in brokerage.
- Requires detailed knowledge of GIPS and IMCA performance standards,
investment performance reporting concepts and methodologies,
data required for performance system processes and functions,
rate of return calculations and formulas, annualization techniques
and risk formulas, composite building methodologies and all
performance calculations.
- Knowledge of CALiPER system architecture and functionality
is preferred.
- Experience with SDLC process, including ability to develop
business rules, data mapping documents that support business
rules, business and functional design documents required.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, quality management, and
organizational skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management theory and
team dynamics.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with others, initiate
action and adapt to change.
- Proven ability to make tough decisions and accept challenging
assignments.
- Previous roles in creation of requirements and functional
specifications, and facilitation of translation into technical
specifications.
- Knowledge of flowcharting software (Visio) and standard process
definitions.
- Experience with identification of areas of process, design,
and implementation risk due to software deployment.
- Ability to develop UAT test cases and scripts and provide
input to IT test teams.
- Series 7 registration preferred.
