Position: Senior Performance Analyst -
Nuveen Investments, Los Angeles, CA
Summary:
The Senior Performance Analyst will provide performance analysis
support to Nuveen and its affiliates. This may include performance
report calculating and distributing composite statistics, performance
reporting, and ensuring the integrity of data used for performance
reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The following duties
are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned
and are not necessarily all inclusive:
Performance Analysis:
Ensure performance results firm wide are compliant with
the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)
Advanced knowledge of performance analytic concepts.
Work within the group to proactively identify and resolve
discrepancies with Operations teams.
Collaborate with Portfolio Management team on analysis
and approval of performance statistics.
Responsible for the maintenance and support of the performance
analysis technology software.
Construct, maintain, and compute composite returns and
statistics.
Assign accounts to be included or excluded for accurate
composite selection.
Identify procedural inefficiencies and recommend process
improvement.
Reporting:
Provide and verify all performance related inquiries,
including but not limited to marketing materials and RFP's.
Assist with annual verification process for relevant affiliates.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
required, preferably with a focus on Accounting, Finance, Economics,
or Business.
Minimum of 5 years of performance measurement experience
required in the investment management industry.
SMA experience preferred.
INTERPERSONAL/COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
Ability to interface with investment professionals.
MATHEMATICAL/ANALYTICAL/REASONING SKILLS:
Strong analytical skills.
Strong problem recognition and resolution skills.
Intermediate to advanced mathematical skills required.
OTHER:
Detail-oriented.
Strong work ethic.
TECHNICAL:
Advanced experience in the APL and Wilshire IQ required.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Access experience.
Previous experience with SimCorp Dimension, FactSet, Portia,
or Advent tools a plus.
Knowledge of SQL and VB (Visual Basic).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM)
a plus.
CFA Preferred
TRAVEL:
Zero to minimal travel is required for this position..
