Position: Performance Analyst - Nationwide
Investment Management Group - Columbus, OH & King of Prussia,
PA
Pay Range: $52,000 to $60,000 based on experience
Job Overview:
Provides statistical information and research with respect to;
asset classes, modeling and management within the product, performance
reports, and transition reports. Works collaboratively with the
Product and Manager Strategy groups to obtain and disseminate
required information on a timely basis. Develop and maintain a
high degree of knowledge with respect to quantitative strategies
and underlying statistics and characteristics.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Using established methods, applies deductive reasoning and
industry awareness to assist in making recommendations for product
improvements, structural designs and communication/education
materials.
- Applies understanding of technical criteria for selection
and monitoring of investment managers to assist with selecting
sub-advisors of IMG products and fund-of funds products.
- Works with IMG/NSC systems areas and external IT vendors
to facilitate and ensure accurate data is used to calculate
performance. Manages external vendor relationships.
- Develops tools and procedures to maintain, manage, manipulate,
and analyze large quantities of data. Implements computer and
filing solutions.
- Builds investment knowledge and experience to represent the
business segments in the development of investment portfolios
or investment strategies.
- Reviews industry trends to identify and monitor top investment
managers/funds to determine their effectiveness within the products
of the supported groups.
- Develops understanding of NF businesses and use of asset allocation
products.
- Using vendor software (Morningstar, Mobius, Zephyr, etc.),
conducts performance comparisons, searches for best products
and performs advanced statistical analysis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Undergraduate studies in business, finance, economics,
accounting or a related field preferred.
Experience: 3 year related experience in Financial Services investment
management.
Knowledge: Knowledge of investment, finance, economic practices
and performance measurement and style analysis.
Skills/Competencies: Ability to analyze and prepare recommendations
concerning investment management opportunities.
Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt).
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Extended work hours
may be required based on workload. May require occasional travel.
