Position: Alberta Investment Management
Company - Senior Analyst Investment Performance

Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), Edmonton
- Reporting to the Manager Investment Performance, you will utilize
your technical expertise to prepare asset performance and attribution
reports for approximately 130 investment portfolios on a weekly,
monthly and quarterly basis. With a thorough understanding of
investment concepts, performance calculations and attribution
techniques, you will evaluate and analyze all calculations to
ensure accuracy in reported numbers.
To be successful in this position you will require a solid understanding
of financial markets, knowledge as well as experience using complex
investment instruments, strong analytical, problem-solving and
facilitation skills and the ability to establish effective working
relationships. Your excellent communication and the ability to
work in a dynamic team environment are essential.
Qualifications:
University degree in Finance/Mathematics or related discipline
supplemented by two plus years of Performance Measurement and
Attribution experience is required. Completion of, or enrollment
in, CIPM and/or Chartered Financial Analyst is preferred. Experience
working with Barra, Bloomberg, VBA, Sylvan or other performance
measurement software is desirable. Equivalencies will be considered.
NOTE: Final candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening,
which includes a credit bureau and a criminal record investigation,
the results of which must be acceptable to AIMCo.
