  • Investment Performance and Attribution Analyst - Northern Trust
    The Investment Performance & Attribution Analyst will be responsible for calculating portfolio returns and attribution, composite returns, and generating client performance statements on a monthly and quarterly basis. This position requires performance measurement experience and demonstrated knowledge of attribution methodologies across equity, fixed, and balanced portfolios.

    Individual will be a senior member of the benchmark creation and maintenance team. This person is expected to quickly learn and master the performance system (Eagle PACE); he/she will work close to technology enhancing the system and developing new reports and procedures.   • Canadian Medical Protective Association - Manager, Portfolio Accounting and Reporting
    Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, the Manager, Portfolio Accounting & Reporting is a chartered accountant responsible for the efficient and effective operation of all investments related "back office" duties. This includes ownership of all accounting functions for public and private investments, reconciliations between money managers, the custodian, internal reporting solutions and the corporate accounting system, and all reporting packages (monthly, quarterly, annually, private and public). Given the complexities of some instruments or strategies, the incumbent will, in addition, be tasked with establishing suitable risk monitoring tools to produce a continually evolving risk reporting package. The Manager, Investment Accounting and Reporting will oversee the confirmation process for all internal transactions and portfolio return calculations, while ensuring that Portfolio and mandate constraints are within the set limits of the SIP&G. The incumbent will be responsible for all preparatory work in support of the annual external audit of the Investment assets and transactions, and will be the Investment Section's key contact with the Operational Accounting Section and the external auditors in this regard. The incumbent is also responsible for researching and addressing all tax-related initiatives (US filings, non-resident trust legislation, GST rebate, etc).

Initially, this will focus around fixed income attribution delivery and implementation, but will expand quickly to other IRAS product offerings.
    • Establish oneself as the local technical IRAS expert, providing documentation and training material to IRAS partners and supporting consultants in client meetings or sales staff in new client presentations.

    As a Senior Investment Performance Consultant you will be responsible for providing ultra high net worth clients and family office clients with complex performance analysis services to evaluate the performance of various investment vehicles in their personal investment portfolios. You will also develop and make client presentations explaining the bank's performance analysis services, communicate new products, determine client reporting needs and actively participate in new business sales presentations to prospective clients.
