Position: Investment Officer - The World Bank

The World Bank Treasury's Quantitative Strategies, Risk and Analytics Department (QRA) is responsible for developing leading-edge solutions in the areas of strategic asset allocation, quantitative strategies and financial modeling, market analysis, portfolio analytics and risk measurement. QRA is seeking an Investment Officer.

The candidate will join our Risk and Analytics Team. As part of the team, s/he will focus on fixed income portfolio performance measurement, and attribution; which will include the tasks of participating in the review of performance results; compiling, monitoring and analyzing key performance trends, trading activities and market information; providing analytical support to the performance measurement and attribution process for management, portfolio managers and operations staff; updating analytical tools for new clients or new portfolios and/or reflecting changes to portfolios, and participating in the production of reports for the fixed income portfolios. The candidate will have career growth potential in the areas of risk measurement, benchmark management, compliance, liquidity management, and providing technical assistance to World Bank clients.

This position requires a Master's degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in one or more professional disciplines (Finance, Mathematics or Engineering preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous exposure to portfolio management, risk or performance measurement, or quantitative research will be a very strong asset. CIPM, CFA, FRM or PRM certification is desirable. Knowledge of GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards) is a plus. The preferred candidate should have proven quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, and working experience with VBA or SQL is a plus.
